Temple Beth Am's Third Annual Summer Festival Celebrating Culture Food...Family...Friendship is Sunday, August 1st with a Charity Walk at 11:30 am, check in at 10:30 am. Temple Beth Am is located at 4660 Sheridan Drive, Williamsville.

 
Infringement Festival Returns
Every summer, Allentown holds the Buffalo Infringement Festival with over 700 performances, including over 350 plays, bands, art installations, films, and parties the festival runs until August 1. Over 50 venues and non-venues will participate in the festival in and around Allentown. Get the complete schedule here

Drums Along the Waterfront
will once again fill the skies over Western New York with thundering drum beats and beautiful brass rhythms on Sunday, August 8th at 5:30 p.m. at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park. This year’s show has the makings of being the best DATW in its history and is being billed by many within the drum corps international community as one of the best drum corps competitions in North America this year. In addition, for the first time the internationally renowned US Marine Drum and Bugle Corp will travel to WNY and make a special appearance in this year’s event. A tribute to area veterans and service members will coincide with the performance. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased at the Ralph Wilson Stadium Box Office or at any Ticketmaster.com location. If purchased in advance, ticket price is $22.00 for adults, $10.00 for children 12 and under, and $20.00 for students, military veterans and those 65 and older. Tickets are $25.00 for adults when purchased the day of the event. Discounts for large groups are available. Parking is free. Softball tourney strikes out Impaired Driving
CAID’s 2010 annual Softball Tournament is Saturday, August 14th at Sunshine Park in West Seneca. The tournament is in memory of Karen Kwiatkowski, who was killed on Seneca Street in South Buffalo in a drunk-driving crash in 1998. She was 18 years old, a graduate of Mt. Mercy Academy, a freshman at St. Bonaventure University, and a softball player. All proceeds will go to support the Crusade Against Impaired Driving. Buffalo Scavenger Hunt
The Buffalo Scavenger Hunt will hold it’s 3rd annual event on August 14th from Noon until 5 pm. Teams will search for clues, answer trivia and search for unique items throughout Buffalo, the Elmwood Village and Allentown. Go to Buffaloscavengerhunt.com to sign up.  
The 73rd Annual Annunciation-Elma Picnic
The 73rd annual Annunciation-Elma Picnic, Friday August 13th through Sunday August 15th on the grounds at 7580 Clinton Street in Elma N.Y. Come hang out Friday for the Car Show and music by Island Doom. Saturday there will be a Pork Chop Dinner at 4pm and music by Hit'n Run during the evening. On Sunday there will be a Polka Mass at 11:30, along with a Chicken Dinner at noon, and music by Polka Country Musicians and Soul Providers. There is a golf tourney at the Brierwood Country Club to raise money to assist needy and disabled veterans on August 16th.
